Cranberry Apple Crumble

Cranberry Apple Crumble

Cranberry Apple Crumble is a simple and delicious recipe, made with cranberries, apples, a hint of cinnamon spice, and then topped with spiced oat crumble. This recipe is perfect for the holidays or as a post-holiday treat. It uses fresh (or frozen) cranberries (which I tend to always have excess amounts of around December). The cranberries add a bit of tartness to the sweet apple pie filling. Try serving it with a scoop of dairy-free vanilla ice cream!

How to make Gluten Free, Vegan, Cranberry Apple Crumble

Making this vegan, gluten-free crumble, is quite simple. First, you need to dice up your apples (removing the cores of course, because nobody wants apple seeds in their dessert). Then, toss the apples together with fresh cranberries, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, a little white sugar, and cornstarch.

This all goes into a baking dish, and is topped with the oatmeal crumble. To make the oat crumble, simply mix together almond flour, rolled oats, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Then stir in melted vegan-butter. Spread this mixture over the fruit filling, and bake for approximately 45 minutes. You’ll want to make sure the edges are nice and bubbly and the top of the oats are all golden brown.
