Over the years, I have played with recipes for Hummus, trying to find one that was perfect. I recently made a tahini sauce that was delicious, and it inspired me to try something new with my next batch of hummus.
The Home Baked Vegan’s recipe for Hummus is a little unconventional, and a whole lot of awesome. We start of with some basic Hummus ingredients like chickpeas, tahini, garlic and lemon juice, and then add a couple secret ingredients that take the Hummus to a whole new level.
2 Cups Chickpeas (Cooked / Canned)
3 Cloves Roasted Garlic
1/2 Cup Water
1/4 Cup Tahini
2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp Maple Syrup
In a food processor or high powered blender, blend together all ingredients until smooth.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
