Easy Homemade Tomato Salsa Recipe

I am so excited that I learned how to make delicious homemade salsa! I used to always buy salsa in a jar from the store, because I thought it would be so much work to make it myself. Spoiler alert: it’s not! It is actually super easy to make your own salsa at home. I have often made salsa fresca in the past, because I love adding avocados (and partially because that was the only way I knew how to make salsa for a long time), but when you are in the mood for some deeper tomato flavors, minimal effort, and basically just some amazingly good salsa, then this recipe will do the trick.

Simply add all of the ingredients into a small pot, and cook for ten minutes, then pop it in the fridge to cool. No blending, or simmering for hours, just a quick and easy salsa with tons of flavor! This makes about one cup of “medium” heat salsa. If you like heat, add more chili flakes/powder; alternatively, if you don’t like heat at all, and prefer mild salsa, simply omit the chili flakes.
