Guacamole is a delicious avocado dip, and this recipe uses just four simple ingredients: Avocado, Lime, Jalapeño, and Sea Salt. This recipe is about as easy as guacamole gets; I supposed you could omit the jalapeños to make this even more simple, especially if you have an aversion to peppers. That being said, with only half a jalapeño in the entire bowl of guacamole, you don’t notice any heat. This guacamole is refreshing and perfect for dipping or dolloping.

How to make guacamole:
Start with ripe avocados. Cut them in half and remove the pit, then scoop or squeeze the avocado into a bowl. Squeeze the juice from a lime into the bowl, and add a pinch of sea salt. Remove the seeds from half of a jalapeño, and mince the pepper into small pieces then add them to the bowl. Use a fork to mash the avocado. Once it is mashed you can star stirring the ingredients all together until the avocado is smooth. Transfer it into a serving dish, and enjoy!
Storing Guacamole
The best time to make guacamole is right before serving it. Avocados have a tendency to turn brown once they’ve oxidized – that is once they have been exposed to air outside of their own skin. If you cannot make your guacamole immediately prior to serving, don’t worry, just follow these steps to yours looking green and fresh:
Once you have prepared your guacamole, place it in a bowl and use a spoon to flatten down the top so it’s all level. Squeeze some lime juice on top, and cover with plastic wrap. Press the plastic wrap right up against the guacamole to press out as much air as you can, then seal the plastic wrap along the edges of your bowl. Store in the fridge until you’re ready to serve!
